The Midwest Regional Carbon Initiative (MRCI) is US Department of Energy-funded program charged with advancing the acceptance and deployment of carbon capture, utilization, and storage in 20 states across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and New England regions of the United States. Co-led by the Illinois State Geological Survey and Battelle, members of the MRCI include multiple state geological surveys, academic institutions, and industry. Backed by 20-years of experience in CCUS, earlier related projects include the Midwest Geological Sequestration Consortium (MGSC), the Midwest Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership (MRCSP), and multiple CarbonSAFE projects, all of which produced a significant volume of research from peer-reviewed literature to conference materials to reports. These documents represent an important contribution to the science of carbon sequestration. The bibliographic record of these documents is made available here and includes links to downloadable documents when available.
